Some families to stay together are forced to live like this, but RTD offers an alternative.

Family Emergency Center - These homes are for families that are displaced by; fire, foreclosure, or eviction. Families can stay in these houses for up to 30 days with a possible 15 day extension. Individuals pay rent based on their income, and case management helps them to achieve their independence. Case managers will work with the families so that they can find suitable housing at the end of their 30 day stay.

Permanent Supportive Housing - These transitional homes are for individuals who come out of rehabilitation and need a place to stay. Individuals can stay up to 45 days, and they pay rent based on their income and a case manager comes in and helps them to achieve independence.
